You say you’re a BACP Registered Counsellor – what does that mean?
BACP - British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy is the professional association for members of the counselling professions in the UK. Being a Registered Member demonstrates that I meet high standards of proficiency, professionalism and ethical practice. I am listed on the BACP Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

How often will I need to see you?
Ideally, counselling is a weekly commitment but regularity of sessions are discussed with each client at the start of therapy.

How long will I need counselling for?
The length of time is entirely your choice. I can offer short term counselling (usually 8 weeks) if time or finances are limited, but I do tend to work longer term with most clients, depending on the nature of the issue they bring.

Will you give me advice?
As your Therapist, I will not give you advice or solve your problems for you. I will listen to your story, help you look at things from a different angle and give you a better understanding of the issue to enable you to make positive changes yourself.

How soon can I see you?
Once you have had your free telephone assessment, I can usually see you within one week, depending on availability at the time of the call.

How long are the sessions?
Each session is 50 minutes long.

How much do you charge?
£40.00 per session
